Trauma can leave you feeling disconnected from others, like you are daydreaming or walking through fog. Stressors can become too overwhelming to deal with, even seemingly simple task can feel too much. I can provide you with the opportunity to identify and challenge difficult thoughts and emotions, while creating new ways to effectively cope with stressors. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment that allows space for self-expression and self-discovery while revisiting the past. Together, we can face the challenges of the past and find new a new way forward.
I earned my BA in Psychology from UCI and a Master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from NYU. I specialize in helping with healing from trauma, be it manifested in PTSD, depression, anxiety or addiction. My therapeutic approach is strength-based, client-centered and trauma informed. I value and integrate a variety of theories and interventions to fit each client’s needs and goals, some of the modalities being EMDR, CBT, EFT, and Person-Centered.
I believe that every person has the capacity for personal growth, breaking old patterns and for increasing life satisfaction. My goal is to empower and support my clients through the therapeutic process, to help them meet their needs, accomplish their goals and find ways to break out of cycles that no longer suit them.
In my free time, I enjoy being outside in the Cali sunshine, discovering new foodie destinations, and recharging with a good book and my 17-year-old cat on my lap.
